Perth Zine Collective

On the 1st of August (or there-abouts) Aunty Mabel was born. Unlike most infants, Mabel was born already 34 years old and with a penchant for zine distribution. Her website (which we will be maintaining for her while she’s on holiday, return date unknown) can be found at perthzinecollective.com. Put three ‘w’s on the front if you don’t like contractions. Otherwise, ride that shortened link into a world of self-published love.

If you’re into “hanging out” and “zine making” and have some spare time on the 13th of August, come on down to the Shopfront Studio at Central TAFE (129 Beaufort Street) around 12pm. The Perth Zine Collective will be welcoming Mable into the world with a shindig. If you’re lucky you might bump into:
- tasty food & drinks
- zine library
- zines to buy
- zinemaking space + copier
- readings from zines
- Steve’s accordion playing
- Aunty Mabel herself?????????????????????????

If being well-prepared is your thing, you could bring:
- a sample copy of your zine if you have one (see http://perthzinecollective.com/stock.php for more info)
- additional copies of your zine to spruik to others at the party
- musical instruments
- your best typewriter face
- a plate of food to share
